Boundary work is one of my favorite subjects.
My rock-solid belief is that living a life with healthy boundaries leads to greater joy, fewer resentments, and more compassion all the way around. I also know that many people, myself included, were not raised with wonderful, healthy, self- and other-compassionate boundary-setting skills. The truth is, most of the people that find their way to my healing-room-slash-office have had their boundaries violated in the past (purposefully and/or without malice or ill-intent), have violated other people’s boundaries (purposefully and/or without malice or ill-intent), have violated their own boundaries (purposefully and/or without malice or ill-intent) and generally don’t know what it feels like to really experience healthy boundaries in relationship with others (or with themselves).
